Our Scholarship Programs

This is a general scholarship fund established to help students attain this academic or vocational goals. The number of scholarships to be awarded during each academic year will vary according to student qualifications and need.
Scholarships will range from $500-$5,000.
Ideal scholarship candidates:
Highly motivated to attend college/trade school
Hard-working, driven to persevere
Ability to articulate specific financial need
Have realistic education goals based upon their understanding of costs
Have overcome challenges in life - family, health, living situation, finances, etc.

The Walter B Lawson program was initiated due to an incredibly generous benefactor, Mr. Lawson, who donated his entire estate to the Englewood Education Foundation.
He understood the value the EEF is able to offer students in Englewood. As a lifelong resident, he wanted to make a continued impact to the community even after he passed.
The program has expanded since Mr. Lawson's initial donation from one $5000 scholarship per year to multiple scholarships being awarded each year.
Students are able to use their funding to buy supplies or tuition so that they can build a better future for themselves and for our community at large.Students can reapply for the scholarship during their second year of college.
Ideal scholarship candidates:

Each year, the Englewood Education Foundation (EEF) awards several thousand dollars in scholarships to EHS and CFHSC students.
We need your support to ensure that qualified, motivated, and in-need students apply on time.
Due dates for the 2026-2027 scholarship cycle will be posted in the fall.There are so many amazing scholarships and life opportunities for the top tier of Englewood students. It is our goal at EEF to prioritize the many other bright, motivated students who may have been overlooked by other scholarships and may not be able to attend school without outside financial help. These students are equally deserving, and the EEF is here to help.

The scholarship funds shall be paid directly to the recipient's academic/vocational institution upon receipt of documentation establishing proof of enrollment and tuition costs.
It is the scholarship recipient’s responsibility to coordinate and confirm that payment is requested from the foundation and received by the college - but we will help you with this process!

The Englewood Education Foundation "Partners for the Future" Scholarship Fund has been established to help students in Englewood schools attain their academic/vocational goals.
Program impact
The program has offered scholarships to students, like some of those who have provided testimonials, to attend college and vocational schools for the last 5 years.
Partners for the Future has continued to grow each year, evolving from only a few small $500 scholarships, to this past year when we offered over $10,000 scholarships to students in varying amounts.
These scholarships allow students to attend college and pursue their dreams. Without these scholarship opportunities, many students would not be able to attend college at all. -
